Dion Fundraiser Entry
As most of you already know, over Memorial Day weekend, my cat Dion broke her arm.
We’ve had multiple vet visits since then, trying to figure out the best path forward. Today, after a follow-up appointment, I was told she will need orthopedic surgery in order for her arm to heal properly. There was also the option of amputation as a less expensive route—but Dion is only 2 years old, and I can’t make that choice for her when there is another option that allows her to fully recover.
Just a week after Dion’s injury, my other cat, Beebo had his own emergency urinary blockage and required urgent care. Between the two of them, I’ve now spent over $7,000 in emergency vet bills, and Dion’s surgery will be another $5,000.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know these cats are a huge part of my life. A few friends have generously offered to help, so I’ve put together a fundraiser for Dion’s surgery.
One winner will receive a collection of work and experiences.
